Te Tūranga | The role
The International Student Coordinator role is new and will be responsible for providing wrap around wellbeing and care for our international students. The role is focused on helping students achieve their academic goals and ensuring their wellbeing through proactive care.
Responsible for maintaining open and professional communication with the international students, their parents, and our international support networks to foster student integration. The role involves collaboration with Deans, teachers and agents about student progress and wellbeing.
The role also provides administrative support to the Director of International Students, helping to ensure we are responsive to our students and their family’s needs.
He kōrero mōu | About you
- You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. teaching, languages, psychology, social work) or experience working with students in an education or coaching setting and have the skills to support students and manage behaviour.
- You will demonstrate advanced personal levels of cultural intelligence and competence.
- Your ability to relate to students, parents, caregivers, education agents and colleagues with a high level of empathy and professionalism will be reflected in your verbal and written communication skills.
- You will possess excellent organisational skills including time management and proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and databases.
- You will be a safety conscious driver and hold a valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
