IBDP COORDINATOR -2026 START
The IBDP Coordinator has oversight of all aspects of the IB Diploma Programme in Years 11 & 12, which includes a range of responsibilities across curriculum, sub-schools and administrative areas. The IBDP Coordinator is the first point of contact with the IBO and responsible for ensuring that all components of the program work effectively and adhere to IBDP policies and procedures as outlined in the IB Programme Standards and Practises document. The IBDP Coordinator must complete the official DP Coordinator training workshop.

IBDP COORDINATOR ROLE
The IBDP Coordinator’s responsibilities, include but are not limited to
Program requirements:
Oversight of IBDP leadership and administration team, which includes:
- Extended Essay (EE) Coordinator
- Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) Coordinator
- IB Administration Support (ES staff member) Recruitment of IBDP teaching staff, in collaboration with PCO
Ensuring that all IBDP teaching staff are suitably qualified through the provision of IBO approved training
workshops
Promotion of the IBDP within and beyond the school community, which include events such as information sessions, showcase evenings, Year 10 careers expo, year level assemblies, and newsletter and social media communications.
Oversight of IBDP Evaluation processes and re-evaluation requirements
Coordinate and run 2-3 IBDP Faculty meetings every term
Oversight of IBDP Administration, in collaboration with the IB Administration Assistant, including but not limited to:
- Student registration on IBIS
- Upload of student results on IBIS
- Creation of exam schedule in alignment with IBO requirements
- Exam session administration, ensuring adherence to official IBDP exam processes and requirements
- Recruitment and training of exam invigilators
- University entrance support for students when results are released
Enrolment administration and coordination
Oversight of enrolments into the IBDP program, including IB Link, and management of the enrolment applications from Alamanda P-9 at year 10.
Coordination of Year 10 and Year 11 course confirmation, administration and student retention, in collaboration with the Senior School office
Plan and lead orientation and transition sessions for IB Link, 10-11 and 11-12
Supervise exams on non-school days, such as Melbourne Cup long weekend
Curriculum, internal assessment and reporting
Oversight of curriculum documentation of IBDP units, scope and sequence and assessment, in collaboration with Faculty Directors and CAR, and ensuring the integration of TOK, ATT’s and ATL’s, in all subjects
Coordinate and monitor the internal IBDP assessment calendar
Work with CAR to ensure IBDP reports on Compass align to both College and IBO requirements
Use data from student results to guide teaching and learning improvements in line with the College Strategic Plan
Attends CAR meetings
Collaborate with the Senior School to monitor student academic progress
Communicate and support students and their families after results are released, in conjunction with the Careers staff
Teaching
Face to face teaching will be required.
