St Leonard’s College is seeking an experienced and dedicated English teacher to join the College Community on a full-time, ongoing basis.

St Leonard’s College is seeking an experienced and dedicated English Teacher to join our College community on a full time, ongoing basis from the start of the 2026 school year.

Reporting to the Head of Learning – English, the role will be responsible for teaching English subjects, across Years 5 to 12, in a collaborative and progressive environment.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education.
  • Current VIT Registration.
  • A current knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (English).
  • Experience in teaching VCE and/or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) English subjects.
  • Previous experience teaching within an Independent School setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning.
  • Well-developed classroom management strategies which enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment.
  • Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
