About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Chemistry and Biology teacher to join our Sydney team. Someone who can inspire high-performing students and bring science to life in a way that connects learning to the world beyond the classroom. 

• You’ll teach Stage 5 Science (Year 9 – 10) and Stage 6 IB Diploma Chemistry and Biology (Years 11 – 12) within a coeducational, academically selective environment. 
• This is a part-time (0.7 FTE) permanent position, with the potential to become full-time for a candidate also able to teach Mandarin. 

• Start: Term 1, 2026 (earlier start possible).

• Location: Ultimo, in the heart of the innovation and technology precinct.

• Salary: Above-award salary. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• IB Diploma experience: Desirable, but not essential. We offer accelerated training for outstanding educators ready to step into the world’s most respected secondary qualification.

About you

You’re an exceptional Science teacher with subject depth in Chemistry and Biology, and the drive to do things differently. You bring expertise, professionalism, and curiosity, and you’re ready to inspire students who want to push boundaries, not just meet expectations. 

You thrive in a collaborative, high performance environment where ideas move fast and innovation is the norm. You’re excited to design new and creative Stage 5 (Years 9 -10) science programs that set students up for success in their IB years, and to guide them through the core components of the IB. 

Experience in IB Diploma or HSC Science is ideal, and skills in programming, modelling or robotics will be particularly valuable. The ability to teach Mandarin is a bonus.
