The successful candidate will have:
- The desire to teach in an environment where both Christian values and academic excellence are emphasised
- Passionate about teaching the Primary generation
- Relevant qualifications with VIT registration and commitment to professional learning
- Proven record of field-work experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the IB curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Use data and observations to tailor instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Support the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students in alignment with school values.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote respectful and responsible behaviour.
- Identify and support students with learning challenges or additional needs, working closely with Learning Support teams.
- Encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking in students.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and community members, promoting a collaborative and inclusive school culture
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan lessons, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, extracurricular activities, and pastoral care programs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice to improve teaching effectiveness.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering both academic and personal growth in students.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex design concepts and engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development maintaining a proactive approach to teaching.
