Townsville Grammar School is one of the original Grammar Schools of Queensland. The Year 7-12 campus is located on the original site at North Ward. The School also operates two Junior School campuses, both offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, at Annandale and North Shore.
Townsville Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational School with a current enrolment of approximately 1300 students, including 120 boarders (7-12) of whom approximately 25 are international students.
As one of the eight original Grammar schools in Queensland, Townsville Grammar School was established in 1888 and has offered boarding since this time. The School has a long-standing reputation as the leading academic school in Northern Queensland, also offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for Years 11 and 12.
We are seeking an experienced educational leader to proactively lead, manage and promote the School’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
The IB Co-ordinator provides effective leadership and administration of the IB Programme. Working with an excellent teaching team, you will support students through their IB journey – liaising with teachers, students and parents and promoting awareness of the programme throughout the community.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated, collaborative educator with an in-depth understanding of both the content of the IB Diploma Programme and the administrative requirements to effectively and efficiently run the programme. To be successful, you will also require:
- Tertiary qualifications with post graduate qualifications desirable
- QCT Registration or the ability to attain registration
- Recent experience as an IBDP teacher and experience as an IBDP Coordinator highly desired
- Detailed knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Standards and Practices.
- Demonstrated exceptional collaboration and communication skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to the success of program delivery
