Music Teacher – Secondary School – Terms 1-3 2025 / 0.7-0.8 FTE
What is the Role?
We are looking for a passionate classroom Music teacher to join our dynamic Music team in 2025.
This role will teach Music Stages 4 & 5, with opportunities to be involved in the cocurricular Music programme, including weekly ensembles and the 2025 Music Tour to Europe.
Who will the successful applicant be?
- Displays dedication and enthusiasm for teaching classroom Music, with a heart for encouraging and inspiring students of all abilities
- Has recent experience and proven success teaching secondary Music courses
- Committed to delivering a high-quality Music curriculum from an aural vocal approach
- Possesses strong classroom management skills
- Demonstrates outstanding musicianship skills, including advanced practical skills in one or more instruments
- Thrives working collaboratively in a high-functioning team
- Confident in the use of technology
- An understanding of and commitment to the School’s Christian mission, values and ethos
Previous experience teaching International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and training in Kodály pedagogy is highly desirable.
