It is our belief that educating young people at this unique time in history is a privilege. Our purpose is to educate young people. Our intent is to develop young people that are able to articulate what it is to be well-educated, who understand the great responsibility of receiving a great education and who insist on living ethically and purposely.
Our Early Learning Centre and Junior School use the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework, in conjunction with the Australian Curriculum. Fostering international mindedness, our students explore local and global issues and opportunities in real-life contexts, using concept-driven, transdisciplinary inquiry as the leading vehicle for learning. At Canberra Girls Grammar School, we focus on the growth of each student's academic, social and emotional well-being, seeking to touch hearts as well as minds.
The IB Diploma Programme offers the following subjects: Language and Literature (English) Literature (self-taught in mother tongue), French, Spanish ab initio, German, Japanese, Latin, Chinese, English, History, Psychology, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, ESS, Mathematics HL and SL, Visual Arts, Music, Theatre. CGGS offers online courses for the IB Diploma via Pamoja.
