Membership and contacting the Association
The IB Schools Australasia Standing Committee is committed, amongst other goals, to represent and support the various IB groups and networks across Australasia. There are now eight groups in Australasia, with three new ones in NZ, WA and Eastern seaboard MYP being investigated. It is important that these networks have a united voice in lobbying with Educational Authorities, Tertiary Admissions Centres, Universities and the IB, and IB Schools Australasia wants to support and coordinate these IB school networks.
IB Schools Australasia provides a web presence for member schools at www.ibaustralasia.org and will extend this to local networks of member schools as part of the annual membership fee. Member schools wishing to ensure their details on this site are up to date please contact Rebecca Hammond, Executive Assistant at [email protected].

All IB Schools Australasia member schools (both Candidate and Authorised) get a school page on our website at: https://ibaustralasia.org/schools
For candidate schools this page also allows you to advertise your candidate status to the IB community (something not available on other platforms).
School pages can be updated at any time thorughout the year.
We recommend schools make small changes often to their page to ensure your school page is getting the visibility it deserves. Small changes could include: updating your photos, updating your contact details, adding extra information about your IB programme/s or adding your school logo.

With Open Days at many schools being affected by COVID-19 restrictions we realise that showing off your amazing schools to prospective families is more challenging than ever before.
Upload a video or Virtual School Tour to our website:
As a member school of IB Schools Australasia your school has a page at: https://ibaustralasia.org/schools
Your school is now able to update your webpage on our site to include videos and links to virtual school tours.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you or a colleague to add a virtual tour to your school page, especially during these times when it is difficult to show off your amazing schools in person!
There are a number of ways schools can add a video to their page:
1) Email us the file via WeTransfer, Dropbox or other file transfer platform to [email protected].
Your video will then be uploaded to our IB Schools Australasia Vimeo Channel and your school webpage.
This is what the Friends’ School has done. You can check out their Vimeo Video here: https://vimeo.com/412746793 and their linked school page at: https://ibaustralasia.org/schools/the-friends-school
2) Email us the link to your preferred video from your school Vimeo or YouTube channel.
The video will then be embedded in your school webpage.
This was the option Wesley College chose as they already had the videos hosted to their Youtube Channel: https://ibaustralasia.org/schools/wesley-college-melbourne-elsternwick-campus
3) Do you have a video or school tour hosted on another website? You can send us the link or the embed code for the tour and we can include it on your school page.
This is the option that PLC, Melbourne chose. You can check out their 3D tour and links to their new Virtual Tour platform at: https://ibaustralasia.org/schools/plc-victoria
4) Is there another option that hasn’t been thought of yet? Or do you have more than one video or link you would like to include?
No problems, we welcome schools to include as many links and details as you would like. Please email Bec at [email protected] and she will work with you to help profile your school.
