The College has grown significantly from a small group of 24 students who commenced in 1997, to its first Year 12s graduating at the end of 2016, and the 1100+ students on campus today.
The College is situated on 20 acres in Tarneit, approximately 30 kms from the Melbourne CBD. Landscaped gardens and recreational spaces surround classrooms and buildings. The College has a gymnasium, Church and sports ovals, along with new and modern facilities for Technologies, Science and Arts.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 3 – 12 nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning. The PYP offers an inquiry-based, transdisciplinary curriculum framework that builds conceptual understanding. It is a student-centered approach to education for children aged 3-12.
Since 2018, Good News has been implementing the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) across years 7 – 10. The IB MYP is one of four programmes offered by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and follows on from the IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) which is offered between years Prep to 6.
