Launceston Church Grammar School
Launceston Grammar is an Anglican co-educational day and boarding school in northern Tasmania. We are a community of students, staff, parents and alumni who are part of a strong heritage of educational excellence, dating back 178 years. Our staff are committed to fostering a nurturing environment that inspires intellectual curiosity, personal growth, and community engagement. When you first visit Launceston Church Grammar School you immediately get a sense that it is more than just a school, it is a community where students are nurtured, challenged and inspired.
As our current Chaplain looks to retirement at the end of Term 3, we seek a new energised leader to continue this exceptional work and build upon the strong foundation laid over decades. If you are passionate about guiding and inspiring young people and dedicated to enhancing their educational experience through meaningful community engagement, we invite you to apply.
We are looking for a leader who is passionate in the provision of care for the social, emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing of our students, staff and the school community. Additionally, the Chaplaincy program provides students numerous opportunities to engage with our local community through impactful service partnerships. These programs reflect a deep commitment to education, mutual learning, and the generous hospitality that flourishes when communities come together.
We are seeking an ordained Anglican minister or suitably qualified Christian to lead our team. The hours are negotiable (0.6FTE – 1FTE fulltime) and our desire is that the successful candidate is able to give a commitment to having a daily presence and engagement with our school community on both campuses. This position is based at the School’s Senior Campus and the start date is open to negotiation. Our priority is to find right person for this important role in our School.
