Tara Anglican School for Girls
Tara Anglican School for Girls in North Parramatta is an inspirational learning environment for Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 girls. Established in 1897, Tara has a rich heritage of more than 120 years of girls' education with modern and powerful teaching in the 21st century. High academic results are being attained and a wide variety of opportunities are offered for girls to develop holistically within the PYP and MYP IB frameworks. Tara has a strong and proud tradition as an Anglican, non-selective school for girls which nurtures its students academically and spiritually and provides great opportunities in the co-curricular arenas of the arts, sports and the service of others. Primary Years Programme (PYP)
Tara Anglican School for Girls is authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme in the Junior School. Tara is committed to providing high quality, challenging, significant and inspiring learning experiences. Girls are encouraged to embody the qualities of the Learner Profile and to recognise their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet. They work together to help create a better and more peaceful world. Tara Junior School focuses on the growth and development of every student using the PYP framework in conjunction with the curriculum of the NSW Education Standards Authority.
Middle Years Programme (MYP)
Tara Anglican School for Girls is an authorized school for the Middle Years Programme. The MYP framework is used in conjunction with the Australian National Curriculum and the NSW Education Standards Authority syllabus and embodies the School's commitment to providing a values rich education and global focus for each student, which is rigorous and challenging and prepares students well for the final years of school. Our purpose it to be a Christian learning community, characterized by excellence which encourages and empowers girls to achieve and serve in a dynamic world.
