Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke School offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).
We are seeking an innovative and engaging Learning Support Teacher to join our Middle and Senior School Learning Support team. The successful applicant for this position will have proven Learning Support teaching experience, have a passion for working with students with developmental needs and will be approachable and relate well to students and parents. The ability to teach Middle School English is desirable but not essential.
At Pembroke, curriculum, assessment and teaching delivery and design are differentiated to suit the needs of students where suitable and possible. This includes provision of learning support for students who may need extra help. We believe enthusiastically in a multidimensional approach to learning that includes as many pedagogical approaches as it may take to enhance and encourage learning for individuals and groups of students.
Our Learning Support Department provides learning support services, overseen by the Heads of School for students in their sub-school. The School aims to identify students with learning needs as early as possible using an evidence-led approach.
