Queen Margaret Preschool offers a high-quality education for 3 and 4-year-old children in a friendly and inclusive environment. We are located within the Queen Margaret College campus in Thorndon and our diverse range of families come from all over the greater Wellington area. The Preschool is licensed for 40 children.
We implement our play-based inquiry programme primarily within the framework of Te Whāriki as well as the International Baccalaureate curriculum for early years. The children’s day is semi structured and encourages development of their independence, confidence problem solving and communication skills.
We are looking for a full-time certified teacher with experience in working with preschool aged children, who has high professional standards and whose skills and strengths will enhance our teaching team of 7. Some experience working with the IB curriculum would be beneficial however it is not a requirement.
The successful applicant will be warm and approachable, energetic, creative, and an effective team player. Strong communication skills are essential and written work should be of a high standard.
