Carey seeks an energetic educator to join our Mathematics and Computing learning area commencing Term 2, 2021. This is a fixed term, full time parental leave replacement position to the end of the academic year.
Responsible to the Leader of Learning, this Secondary Teaching position aims to engage and motivate all students in the concepts of Mathematics and Computing. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in their teaching, together with high level skills in the use of technology in the teaching, and learning process.
Mathematics at Carey provides students with the opportunity to develop the mathematical and technological skills required beyond the classroom. We aim to develop mathematical confidence and curiosity through a wide range of mathematical courses from Years 7 to 12 and cater to individual student needs.
It is important that students learn to use information technology and come to an understanding of its power, scope and limitations. Computing courses equip students with the skills to be able to make use of information technology and express creativity, problem-solving and perseverance.
