About IES:

IES College is located in Spring Hill, Brisbane and has been educating young people for more than twenty years to prepare them for study at The University of Queensland through the Foundation Year program. This year IES College is offering the Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for years 11 & 12.

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. This program encourages students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

The Role:
We are currently seeking experienced teachers for the Chemistry and Biology subjects to work in both the IB and Foundation Year programs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching science subjects to senior high school students

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrated teaching skills and subject content knowledge

This position will be offered as a part time fixed term role. Successful candidate will be a person of character who is dedicated and passionate about education and

  • must have or be eligible for, registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
