Teacher of Design and Technology

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic, energetic and qualified Design & Technology Teacher to work in collaboration with our team to rethink and reimagine Design at Friends.

This permanent, full-time role commences at the beginning of Term 1, 2022.

Permanent Full-Time - Years 7 to 12

Commences at the beginning of Term 1, 2022

Developing solutions to problems using Design and Technology enables students to become critical, creative and imaginative thinkers; clear communicators; and lifelong learners. Students learn about the power of design thinking through STEAM based collaborative projects that utilise a strong appreciation for the design cycle through personalised investigations and real-world contexts whilst being inspired to explore the many possibilities of design.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic, energetic and qualified Design & Technology Teacher to work in collaboration with our team to rethink and reimagine Design at Friends.

The ability to make meaningful transdisciplinary links; utilise a range of media to teach design, including Robotics & STEAM; and an ability to collaborate widely within our community are highly desirable qualities. A strong ability to create new opportunities for students to discover, understand and develop high order critical problem solving is critical.

This permanent, full-time role commences at the beginning of Term 1, 2022.
