Applications are invited for the position of School Counsellor (part-time) for Term 1, 2022.

Reporting to the Head School Counsellor and Dean of Wellbeing, the School Counsellor is a member of the Wellbeing team with responsibility for:

  • providing one-on-one counselling to students
  • utilising evidence based, short term counselling interventions
  • conducting risk assessments, safety planning and care for students at risk
  • liaising with staff and supporting parents about safety, risk of harm concerns and general wellbeing considerations of students
  • liaising with students, their families and relevant external professionals as appropriate, to provide support to meet identified needs of students
  • maintaining confidential client notes
  • attending regular meetings with the Counselling and Pastoral teams, the Dean of Pastoral Care and the Principal.
