College Administration & Personal Assistants - three positions available

  • PA to the Principal - Commences January 2022
  • PA to the Head of Junior School - Commencing as soon as possible
  • Coordinator of Administrative Services - Commencing as soon as possible

PA to the Principal
The Personal Assistant to the Principal ensures the smooth and efficient running of the Principal’s office and will maintain the strictest confidentiality in all matters at all times. This role is pivotal in overseeing the administration of the College. Previous experience in school administration, as a Personal Assistant to a College Executive or similar is desirable.

  • Maintain excellent electronic and other records, including accurate and up to date personnel files and records for all staff, keeping all records confidential and accessible only to authorised staff.
  • Patience, compassion and discernment as needed.
  • Accuracy with data entry and document handling.
  • Excellent typing speed with high accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work outside of school hours as required.
  • A current drivers licence.
  • Working with Children Check number.
  • Fully vaccinated.

PA to the Head of Junior School
The Personal Assistant to the Head of Junior School provides exceptional administrative support to the Head of Junior School to enable optimal performance and maintenance of the College’s Mission and Values, ensuring that all professional contact with the College community and general public is positive and welcoming.

The following are requirements for this position:

  • Handle all matters of a confidential nature for the Head of Junior School.
  • Maintain and keep up to date all records and files pertaining to the Office of the Head of Junior School.
  • Receive, read and evaluate the Head of Junior School’s incoming emails, post and phone calls (a) bringing matters to attention when appropriate and responding to matters of both a routine and complex nature, and (b) sifting information for relevance and disperse information to the appropriate people, and monitoring follow up as necessary.
  • Research and gather information for the Head of Junior School as required, using all systems available, especially to meet governmental regulations and reporting requirements of various authorities, monitoring action to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain excellent electronic and other records, including accurate and up to date personnel files and records for all staff, keeping all records confidential and accessible only to authorised staff.
  • Manage the daily diary and routine correspondence on behalf of the Head of Junior School .
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, correspondence, memos, summaries as required by the Head of Junior School.
  • Provide administrative support for the Junior School.
  • Research, review, collate and provide executive summary information from internal and external sources as delegated by the Head of Junior School.
  • Help prioritise issues requiring the immediate attention of the Head of Junior School.
  • Arrange interviews and meeting as required by the Head of Junior School.
  • Build positive working relationships within the Junior School, between staff, parents, students, Anglican Diocesan Services and others across The Riverina Anglican College community.
  • Other duties as required.

Coordinator of Administrative Services
The Coordinator of Administrative Services is required to demonstrate a high level of competency in organisational and administrative matters and accountability in order to prepare regular and accurate reports.

The following are requirements for this position:

  • Advanced administrative leadership skills are required.
  • Strong and engaging interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience reviewing and updating policies is desirable.
  • High level skills in all Microsoft applications and the ability to learn new systems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent time management including the ability to prioritise work and attend to new situations as they occur.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically.
  • Well organised with a flexible approach and can do attitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggling many tasks at one time.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to coordinate with people across a wide range of portfolios.
  • A current drivers licence.
  • Working with Children Check number.
  • Fully vaccinated.
