Teacher - Preparatory School (Prep - Yr 6)

Building on a foundation of over 100 years Anglican Church Grammar School, known internationally as "Churchie", is embarking on an exciting vision to ensure that the School remains at the forefront of boys’ education.  In partnership with the School community, Churchie’s purpose   is to offer a world-class educational programme including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Primary Years Programme along with the Australian Curriculum to facilitate lifelong learning. Given this, Churchie is seeking highly motivated candidate for the following role to contribute to the vision of the Making of Men for the global community.

TEACHER - PREPARATORY SCHOOL (Prep - Yr 6) (Full-time, Fixed-term for 1 year)

The School is seeking an outstanding educator to teach in its Preparatory (primary) School. The successful applicant will be an experienced and exemplary primary school class teacher. Experience and/or post-graduate qualifications in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme would be advantageous. Applicants must be willing to be involved in the co-curricular life of the School.

Mandatory requirements for this role are:

• Ability to plan, prepare and teach lessons that reflect a sound knowledge of relevant subject syllabuses, the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) and ACGS work programmes; 
• To uphold and support the School’s Christian philosophy and approach role model behaviour that supports Churchie’s aim to develop behavioural self-management in the students;
• Willingness to participate in the Churchie’s co-curricular programme;
• Current QCT registration;
• Ability to reside and work in Australia.

All staff at Churchie are expected to support the philosophies of the School, must either hold or be able to obtain a Blue Card and/or registered with the Queensland College of Teachers.
