The Dean of Activities brings a source of innovation in the delivery and structure of all activities across the College and has a strategic impact as a member of the College Leadership Team.  This is your opportunity to inspire a holistic outcomes-orientated approach to student achievement and make a difference in our College community.  The role is vacant from the commencement of 2023, ideally with scope for the successful incumbent to undetake a term four 2022 handover period.

Key accountability includes:

  • Management of College sports, outdoor education, performing arts, debating, chess and after school activities programmes and operations
  • Workforce Management
  • Strategic Leadership
  • Policy, compliance, and risk management
  • Encouragement of student participation and a holistic approach to achievement

 You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, coordination and development of sport, outdoor education, and co-curricular activities in a school setting
  • High level management, relational, organisational, and operational skills to effectively lead teams and manage community relationships
  • Proven strategic vision and capacity to set goals, build a common approach and deliver quality outcomes, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong work ethics, integrity, reliability, interpersonal and discretionary skills
  • Demonstrated aspirational leadership committed to continuous improvement and quality service delivery
  • Teaching qualifications and Queensland College of Teacher Registration (QCTR) well regarded but not essential
  • Current Working with Children Blue Card and First Aid certification.
  • Compliance with Queensland Government COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements for Workers in high-risk settings Direction
