Administrator - Compliance and HR

As part of our growing team, Hunter Valley Grammar School is looking for a full-time Administrator to join the team.

 

Reporting to the Compliance Manager this position is responsible for providing efficient and effective coordination of the day-to-day administrative needs across the Compliance and HR function.

You will support the Compliance Manager and be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and publishing governance documents for the school. 
  • Ensuring all compliance requirements are met and all employee, contractors and volunteer records are accurately maintained. 
  • Gathering all mandatory compliance documentation from new and existing staff as required.
  • Maintaining the Schools compliance calendar and registers, including monitoring of compliance within specified deadlines.

You will support the HR Function and be responsible for:

  • The record management including but not limited to updating and maintaining employee personnel files, prepare employment contracts, contract variations and other duties associated with the HR function, while maintaining data integrity within our records and systems.
  • Support the HR Officer with the recruitment process as needed, including coordinating interviews and answering initial inquiries.
  • Accurate data entry of new and current employee details, qualifications, Working with Check Checks details (WWCC), work status/VISA details and position descriptions and any other employee related information.
  • Preparing HR related correspondence including probation completion letters, parental leave, and letters as required.

About you

As an administrative professional, you will understand the importance of your role, ensuring the efficient and effective coordination of the day-to-day administrative needs of the functions you support.

Ideally you will have:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in an administrative capacity.
  • Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a small team environment with high levels of autonomy.
  • High levels of attention to detail and value the importance of accuracy.
  • Well- developed written and verbal communication skills
  • A responsive and personable character; demonstrable capacity to work calmly under pressure and to manage varied demands each day.

Salary

The salary for this position aligns with the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021.
