Pembroke is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding school from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and Primary Years Program. Pembroke Middle School has over 800 students from Years 7 - 10.
The Department
The Mathematics Department comprises approximately 20 specialist Mathematics teachers who emphasise teamwork, collaboration and support.
The Australian Curriculum is taught from Years 7 to 10, where classes are organised into ability-based streams (sets) to aid with enrichment at all levels. There is an acceleration program for higher ability streams, and some smaller classes to cater for the needs of students with learning difficulties.
In Years 11 and 12, both SACE and IB Diploma courses are offered.
The Role
Following an internal promotion, Pembroke is seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic educator to take on the key leadership position of Head of Middle School Mathematics.
This role will oversee the teaching of mathematics in the Middle School and will have the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Mathematics to assist with the management of the department in addition to teaching Mathematics within the Senior and Middle schools.

The Successful Candidate
The School is seeking an educator with excellent communication, leadership and team management skills and the ability to enthuse students in their study of Mathematics. They will be fully aware of developments in mathematics curricula and be recognised as an organised and highly skilled teacher.
