Te Reo Kaiako/Kaiārahi

Thorndon · Wellington

E ngā kaiako Reo Māori e kaha ana ki te whakawhanake i ngā mātauranga Māori o te hapori nei. Nau mai, haere mai.

We have an exciting opportunity for a te reo Māori kaiako (who can teach up to NCEA Level 3) and will fill the role of Kaiārahi (Māori and Pasifika students’ mentor). Our wish is to continue to build strong partnerships and care for our learners holistically. If you are motivated, enthusiastic, and ready to prepare our ākonga for their next step, we want to hear from you.

Our college is Wellington’s leading independent girls’ kura, providing a world-class education for Y1-Y13, with a boarding facility and a coeducational preschool onsite. Our kura is built on the QMC values of kia māia, manaaki tētahi ki tētahi, he manawa tītī, ngākau pono and kia marae and offers excellent class sizes, strong professional development, and a supportive community.

The College offers an attractive salary package with opportunities for professional development. Kaiako are required to play an active part in the extra-curricular life of the kura.

The successful applicant will be working with a supportive and successful team who strive to create an exciting and innovative learning environment for all our ākonga. E waka eke noa.

Whakataukī o te Kura: Māku ngā tāngata e tautoko ki taku taha, māku ngā tāngata e manaaki ki muri nei. I will support those by my side, I will protect those behind me.
