Development Administrator

Epsom · Auckland

Diocesan is one of the top schools for girls in New Zealand against any comparison for academic results, sports, the arts and commitment to educating young women to make life long and effective contributions to the society in which they live. Parents are attracted to the sense of history and tradition of a school that began at the turn of the 20th century, dedicated to offering the “very best Scholarship” at a time when education for girls was a low priority. This edgy proposition in 1903 has been further extended by the succeeding Boards in terms of the facilities and the opportunities offered. Parents are also attracted by the commitment to educating the whole girl, encouraging her to be “more than she ever imagined” in whatever field of endeavour that may be.

Diocesan is set in Epsom, Auckland.  Diocesan’s purpose-built campus is designed to accommodate buildings, sports facilities and recreational areas on a relatively compact site while achieving a sense of space with landscaped gardens, courtyards and covered walkways.

Behind every great school is a great team of people.  We’d love you to join ours.

In this dual role, you will play a critical part in the digitising of archived and historical materials to create and transform the online presence of the Diocesan Archives, as well as coordinating and administering key operations for our Development team.

We are looking for a digital savvy administrator who can take ownership of the transfer of archives data to a new digital platform.  You will bring our archive space to life through digitisation, finding and capturing stories and displaying photographic records portraying the history of our School.

You will also provide support to our Development team in delivering the School’s fundraising and community engagement programme, ensuring that all events, communications and development activity is of a high standard, and delivering a great stakeholder experience.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to project manage the digitisation of the Archives
  • Digital competency in a range of software including cloud based applications and social media platforms
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a passion for identifying process and system improvements that will enhance the customer experience
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, welcoming and sociable with the ability to build strong relationships

  • Have a flexible can do attitude and exemplary customer service skills consistent with the Dio brand values

This is a fixed term position, working 35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  Due to the nature of the role this does mean there could be some evening and weekend work at times as well.
