Learning Support Teacher

Commences Term 1, 2023 / Full-time / Permanent - Utilise your skill and training in supporting students with diverse learning needs, and build teacher capacity to differentiate their teaching of students.

What is the Role?

To provide students (Years 7 - 12) with disability support and English as an additional language and to also build teacher capacity to identify,  document and differentiate teaching and learning for diverse student needs.

Who will the successful applicant be?

  • Qualified and registered to teach NESA approved and school-based courses and programs across Stages 4-6
  • Postgraduate qualified in Special/Inclusive education
  • Experienced in delivering evidence-based learning intervention programs
  • Passionate and committed to inclusive learning practices including curriculum differentiation
  • Experienced in working with students who have a range of learning difficulties, social and behavioural needs and disabilities which impact learning progress
  • Experienced in working with class teachers to plan, differentiate and teach students with additional learning needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills essential for communication and collaboration with staff, parents and external professionals
  • A team player, prepared to contribute and adhere to faculty goals, aims, and services including co-curricular support services and programs outside of timetabled classes, before or after school.
