We invite you to join PLC as the Acting Director of Music for 2024.

Commencing Term 1 2024, this is a full-time opportunity to become an integral part in shaping positive musical education outcomes for PLC students from Years 7-12 (including IB).

Our Music School boasts a proud, time-honoured reputation as being amongst the very best in the country. 

Over 800 students participate in instrumental tuition and a variety of ensembles, bands, and orchestras.  Our music programs are truly vibrant, diverse and innovative – offering students the opportunity to fully explore, excel and extend themselves in their musical education.

About You

This role will appeal to current or aspiring music education leaders, from both local and abroad, who have a demonstrated history of successful music teaching (up to IB Music within the Diploma Program) as well as strong, progressive leadership skills.

You will also have an ongoing commitment to developing and extending your pedagogical knowledge and practice. 

As part of the Senior School Leadership Team, you will embrace the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge across areas of strategic planning, curriculum development and delivery, and the management of staff of the Music School.

Your honesty, credibility and trust as a leader will be pertinent to your success in this role, as well as your ability to mentor, inspire and challenge students and staff to reach their full potential.
