Ravenswood is currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team on a temporary full time basis. This position is to cover someone who will be on leave, and will commence at the start of Term 2 until the end of 2024.

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team on a temporary full time basis. This position is to commence Term 2 2024 and is temporary until the end of 2024.

At Ravenswood, we wish to excite students' interest in pursuing their studies both in the classroom and through co-curricular experiences. The successful applicant will be an excellent and engaging classroom practitioner, who demonstrates creativity and rigour in the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a committed and professional team.

To be successful in securing this position you will have demonstrated teaching ability encompassing:

  • Proven experience in Religion Education for students from Years 7 – 12;
  • Ability or willingness to teach Year 12 Society and Culture, and Year 12 CAS (IB Creativity Activity Service)
  • Interest in Social Justice initiatives;
  • Strong ICT Skills;
  • The ability to differentiate in the delivery of curriculum;
  • A Flexible and collegial approach; and
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
