Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. An excellent opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified Events & Community Relations Coordinator to join the College. This position oversees the College's major fundraising and 'friend-raising' events and is also the Parents & Friends Association liaison. In this role you will be working closely with the Director Development and Community Relations and the Development Office team as well as the broader College community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Events: plan, develop, design, budget, implement, promote and manage the major annual College events and community fundraising activities
  • Community Relations: be the main day to day point of contact between the College and the P&F Association

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is highly-organised with a high level of attention to detail. You will be articulate in both written and verbal communication and able to build positive and collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Event Management
  • Experience of managing budgets and delivering events on time and on budget
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects for a range of stakeholders
  • Proven track record in managing external suppliers
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Experience with online email marketing (Campaign Monitor)
  • Time management skills and ability to meet objectives under tight timeframes
  • Advanced proof-reading and editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communications - written and verbal
  • High level of attention to detail
  • A positive focus on customer relations
  • Judgement, flexibility and foresight

This is a full-time position based around a 38 hour week however given the nature of this role the coordination of, and attendance at, out of hours meetings and College events is required.
