MLC school is looking for a Development Manager to join the Marketing Team on a 2-year contract.

Development Manager
Full time; 38hours per week.
Working 44 weeks per annum.
Contract duration: 2 years.

MLC School is looking for an experienced and engaging Development Manager who will support our vision to educate and inspire young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion to be agents of change in their own lives and in the lives of others. 
 
About MLC School
Founded in 1886, MLC School is an independent, nonselective Uniting Church school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 in Sydney’s inner-west.  Our tagline ‘dare to be more’ is not only our goal for our students, it applies equally to our staff.
Our highly professional staff, under the guidance of Principal Ms Lisa Moloney, challenge girls and encourage them to question traditional perceptions and roles of women.

About the position
In this position you will be responsible for identifying, building and enhancing strategic relationships across the School community in order to deliver sustainable financial and reputational outcomes.   You will develop, implement and manage effective fundraising programs; coordinate a program of targeted events; ensure proper stewardship of all donors and ensure the database is updated with information about alumni, donor and stakeholder contacts and activity.

Selection Criteria:
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a School or other educational environment,
  • A strong understanding of fundraising and relationship management.
  • Ability to analyse and manage data.
  • The ability to influence, network, negotiate, counsel and mediate.
  • Experience in working within a MAC environment using standard Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other cloud-based collaborative applications.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
