This opportunity is being offered on a permanent basis in our high-level selective entry senior school. This role is offered at T02 (Progressional) however with appropriate qualifications, employment duration and demonstrated professional expertise may be upgraded to T03. Queensland Academy for Health Sciences (QAHS) offers highly capable students in Years 10 to 12 the opportunity to study the world-class International Baccalaureate Program in state-of-the-art facilities located at Southport in the prestigious Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. In a context of academic excellence, you will lead advanced technical solutions to ensure excellence in ICT operations at all times for staff and students and seek innovative continuous improvement in cutting edge technical advances.
You will guide and mentor other technical staff in best practice delivery of service oriented high level technical support and provide advice and assistance to maximizing ICT operations including acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of existing and new infrastructure.
You will be energized by collaborating with highly experienced staff to deliver excellence in event facilitation and seek new and engaging ways to share our Academy culture of unlimited potential and opportunity with the wider community through school celebrations and outreach sessions. You will be integral in managing the Academy website and other communication channels in addition to working closely with external providers to maintain appropriate technical resources including the school’s LMS for the enhancement of a world class educational curriculum. You will support the Leadership Team through asset management and assist in the formulation of the school technology budget.
This role is varied and inclusive of whole school support and your proven effective communication skills, love of working within a passionate team, commitment and flexible nature will be crucial for success in this active position. Ideally, we are seeking a positive, enthusiastic and energetic member of our staff who will also be responsible for utilizing their leadership skills in various workplace health and safety responsibilities and whilst prior experience in this area will be highly regarded, training will be provided for the successful applicant.
