Mō te tūnga | About the role

The Head of Preschool is responsible for the education and care of girls and boys aged three and four years of age, managing the day-to-day running of the Preschool, working with a highly committed and passionate team of teachers, and ensuring compliance with all the Ministry of Education, Education Review Office and other licensing requirements. 

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience

  • A qualified ECE or Primary teacher with a current Teacher Certification
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) leading an early childhood centre or preschool
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and practices in preschool learning environments
  • Deep understanding of preschool curriculum requirements and planning 
  • Strong commitment to upholding appropriate regulations and Te Whariki
  • Outstanding leadership and management experience
