Rangitoto College invites applications for a permanent position in the English Department, commencing Term 2 2024 or by negotiation. We seek an innovative and enthusiastic teacher who has a deep interest in English as a subject, as well as in pedagogy. We are open to applications from both experienced teachers as well as from beginning teachers, who can take advantage of our excellent PCT programme. 

The College offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma. There is the potential for the right candidate to teach a class within this programme in the curriculum areas of Science, Mathematics, English, Languages, Geography, Economics and History (Social Sciences). 

Teachers at the college are expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (CA). As assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $59,027.00 and top rate of $99,216.00. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
