Launceston Church Grammar School is an Anglican co-educational day and boarding school in northern Tasmania. Are you passionate about education and inspiring young minds for a lifelong love for languages? We're seeking an experienced and innovative French Language Teacher to join our team. Launceston Church Grammar School is a vibrant learning community committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence. 

This is a permanent part time opportunity, 0.6-0.8FTE, with ideally an immediate start in Term 2, 2024.

What You'll Do: 

Your role is crucial in fostering a love for languages and creating a positive learning environment for our students. Your contribution is key to shaping an engaging language-learning experience that sparks curiosity and cultivates a deep appreciation for communication. The ability to teach effectively across different proficiency levels is highly valued. 

Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
  • Specialisation and/or strong previous experience in French.
  • Tasmanian Teachers Registration (TRB)
  • Demonstrated experience teaching French in a Primary School or similar environment.
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme and Australian Curriculum would be advantageous but not essential. 
  • An understanding of Inquiry pedagogy.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Registration – Department of Consumer, Building and Occupational Services.

Remuneration will be in accordance with the Launceston Church Grammar School (Teachers) Enterprise Agreement.
