The Illawarra Grammar School (TIGS) is a co-educational Anglican school catering for students in Preparatory to Year 12.

An International Baccalaureate World School located only 60 minutes south of Sydney in beautiful Wollongong. TIGS has an experienced, dynamic and innovative Humanities Department. We are looking for a proactive, collaborative and passionate educator who is able to assist our department in its mission to be a “lighthouse of learning” for the school. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability for authentic, inquiry based learning and the integration of relevant learning skills (including ICT) into the classroom practice and assessment, whilst differentiating learning to meet the needs of a range of learning styles and abilities. Our staff pride themselves on high levels of student engagement and our ability to provide our students with the opportunity to learn the wider implications of the content our subject areas. A willingness and proven ability to teach in other areas such as Economics/Geography and Junior HSIE subjects (History, Geography, Commerce) would be of advantage.
