St Leonard’s College long been at the forefront of educational innovation and curriculum development; in 1972 we became the first single-sex independent school in the Victoria to introduce coeducation, and in 1982 we became the first Victorian school to offer the choice of the VCE or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as pathways to tertiary education. Today our programs continue to be informed by world's best practice and action research.

This role is for an innovative and committed primary teacher, teaching in the Junior School, Prep to Year 4.

St Leonard’s College is committed to the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP), from Prep to year 4, and the Understanding by Design (UbD) framework is implemented in years 5 to 9. This position will be of particular interest to teachers who have a genuine interest in innovation in primary education. There is no requirement that applicants will have any experience of the IBPYP. A strong background in mathematics and science will also be viewed as an advantage, but similarly, is not a requirement.
