Permanent full-time position commencing Term 2 2021.   The Design and Technology (D and T) faculty at Radford offers a number of subjects to our students including Wood Technology, Graphics and Design and Engineering. Providing interdisciplinary learning opportunities using state of the art equipment such as laser cutters, CNC Routers, band saw milling machines and 3D printers are a key focus of the D and T faculty at Radford.  

The opportunity

Radford College is seeking an educator who is passionate about teaching 7 – 12 Design and Technology and who would welcome the opportunity to in a dynamic and innovative learning environment. The ability to teach Wood Technology and Graphics is essential. The ability to teach Year 11 and 12 Engineering is desirable but not essential.

Apart from being able to teach 7 – 12 Wood Technology and Graphics, the candidate must:

  • demonstrate a passion for both teaching and pursuing innovative thinking,
  • be energetic, enthusiastic and demonstrate a willingness to grow through the sharing of best practice and professional experience,
  • possess excellent communications skills both written and verbal, as well as excellent time management skills,
  • participate in pastoral and co-curricular programs, including student wellbeing initiatives, school camps and excursions,

Qualifications

  • Teaching qualification recognised by the ACT Department of Education
  • Maintain registration as a teacher with the Teacher Quality Institute, including WWVP
  • Current First Aid Certificate
