The School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for an Evening Studies Coordinator position.  The evening study program provides students from year 8-12 a supportive and caring space to complete their schoolwork and get a head start on their assessment tasks.  This position coordinates the program and supervises the Evening Studies Supervisors.  This would suit a new graduate, university student in their final year or a retired teacher

The Role
The School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual for an Evening Studies Coordinator position.  The evening study program provides students from year 8-12 a supportive and caring space to complete their schoolwork and get a head start on their assessment tasks.  This position coordinates the program and supervises the Evening Studies Supervisors.  This would suit a new graduate, university student in their final year or a retired teacher.  Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise students in the library each Monday and Wednesday evening 5.00-8.00pm and maintain an environment that is conducive to student learning.
  • Pastorally care for and support students to complete their schoolwork and assessment tasks.
  • Assist students with organisational support and keep updated of work they have due.
  • Manage the evening study (university tutors) and arrange a roster.
  • Liaise with parents and Heads of House (when necessary) to support the care of students.
  • Communicate with the students involved in the program with any updates.
  • Build connections with students that help support their academic wellbeing.

This is a part-time, fixed term opportunity for the remainder for 2023.  In addition to the hours for the Evening Study Program, there may also be tutoring available in the Boarding House.  Please include the subjects you are willing to tutor in your application.  Please note that the hourly rate for any subsequent tutoring will be at a lesser rate of pay.

A current Working With Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) or willingness to obtain one is required.
