St Leonard’s College has long been at the forefront of educational innovation and curriculum development; in 1972 we became the first single-sex independent school in the Victoria to introduce coeducation, and in 1982 we became the first Victorian school to offer the choice of the VCE or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme as pathways to tertiary education. Reporting to the Head of Learning - Humanities, this role is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Head, Heart and Soul (Religious Education) Curriculum across Years 5-9.

St Leonard’s College is a Christian School in the Uniting Church tradition that respects the commonality of all religions and life philosophies that are represented in our diverse student body. To that end the College is seeking to employ a passionate educator with experience in delivering an engaging, life worthy and dynamic Religious Education curriculum across the Middle Years.

Experience in teaching a second subject discipline will be well regarded.

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Friday 18 January 2019 with new staff induction.

While the teaching component is full time, as with all positions of responsibility at the College the Head of Comparative Religious Education is tenured for three years.
